Day 4 continued

Lunch was so good and we washed it down with our bottle of diet Coke...in an actual bottle!

I would take pictures along the way of the houses in the area. Some did not even appear to have roofs.

I spotted some horses just out in the middle of nowhere.

The driver did let us know that the ship was waiting on us and they were going to give us front door service and pull us all the way up to our ship.

They were doing a lot of work in the area.

Starting our way down the long bridge

I could see our ship off in the distance

We passed right by the gift shop stores and everything was closed. They did let us know that since we were coming back so late that there would not be any time to shop. I was kinda sad that I wasn't able to collect another magnet from this "new" place. Maybe next time.

We arrived back to the ship at 4:40pm. We were over an hour late from all aboard time and now 40min late pulling out. I was so glad we had booked with the ship. Everyone got on the ship and we were pulling out at 4:49pm. That was a quick pull out!

Here's a video of our excursion to the most AMAZING place ever! If you can't tell already, I HIGHLY recommend going on this excursion if you are coming to Progreso Mexico. You won't be disappointed.

We made it back to the room and hung out on the balcony and watched us leave.

I propped my feet up to rest them. It had been a long day of climbing, walking and swimming and my leg was paying the price. I still get a lot of swelling and pain and have come to terms with that knowing it will probably never get any better than what it is. But, I am grateful that I can at least walk now and get around so much better than the first 3 years after my accident and after 3 surgeries.

Everyone showered and it was time to get ready for dinner. The kids let us know they were ditching us tonight and having a "date night" together. They were dressing up and going out to eat somewhere fancy...the main dining room. Karl was footing the bill. wink wink (Now that's a cheap date night for him).

So I guess that meant the hubby and I was having a date night as well. I wasn't dressing up in the same dress I had worn again over and over and we just decided to go in "relax style". It was now 6:30pm and we headed to Fins and here's what was on the menu for the night

They were having egg rolls again tonight and I could not wait to sink my teeth into them. They are just so good! The hubby ordered the Tortilla Salad and Cajun Gumbo.

Our Entrees would be Wild Mushroom Ragout for me and Tuscan Porchetta

I had to continue with the tradition of having my Pina Colada Lush and the hubby would have the Coconut Tres Leches for dessert.

We came back to the room after dinner and waited on the kids to return from their date night. They were so excited when they returned and I ask them what they wanted to do the rest of the night. Karl shouted "CASINO! I feel lucky!" Yea, I bet you do. So off we went for about 45 minutes.

I'm over here winning a couple of bucks...as high as $14.00!! Woo Hoo! The hubby is winning $23 near by.

I walk over to find Karl and he's killing it! Sit down, place bet, spin...and boom! Are you kidding me? And he was playing the least amount on this machine too.

Sakari had wandered off and was next door listening to karaoke. I was getting bored with the slots. They were just not hitting anything that would keep me playing tonight and I went over with her. We took a look at the Checklist to Chill and seen there was a comedy show tonight and it wasn't with the same comedian. We thought we'd check it out and went and got the boys.

Tonight was the adult comedy show with Sebastian Cetina. Yea, it was definitely "adult" content and they made a lot of fun of the younger crowd in the show. Karl laughed the entire time.

Since we had raced out of the casino to see the show, we needed to go back to cash out our tickets. There was an insert to the Checklist to Chill today that mentioned free slot play if you signed up. I figured why not? If you signed up with the casino they would give you $10 in free play. So we did.

I wasted mine on Bacon Riches, which I had not played yet, and ended up with nothing.

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted...or was it? I didn't even hit a single bonus or much money at all. The hubby didn't do any good either but Karl managed to get ahead...of course. Okay, okay...time to go Karl before you spend your winnings. Don't get greedy.

We headed back to the room for the night. No ducks were found today.
