SIMPSON BAY 2025

SIMPSON BAY 2025

When we were here with a friend that used to live here, Mary Boone's place was somewhere we stopped (after a hurricane) and the area was destroyed back then. However, the beach was absolutely gorgeous and I knew I wanted to give it another shot.

We parked right at Mary Boone's and had a look around. This is a very cute little place to stay at and decorated so nicely and gave off that tropical feel to it.

We headed out onto the beach to have a look around and disappointment set in. Hurricane Erin had just passed by a few day prior and the beach was eroded so bad that there was a drop off, around 4' deep, just to get into the water.

Can you see the ledge in the pictures below?

With the beach erosion and the high waves, we decided not to stay here today. Darnit. It really is a nice place and I've heard a lot of people that visit the island say they stay at Mary Boone's while on the island for a land vacation.
