KIM SHA BEACH 2025
KIM SHA BEACH 2025
This is a beautiful large beach in the Simpson Bay area. They have places you can rent small paddle boats with slides or if you've ever wanted to ride on a Jurassic flamingo, here's your chance.

You can rent chairs and umbrella's as well.
Over at the end (or beginning depending on which way you came in) is Buccaneer Beach Bar. Great food and awesome staff! There's plenty of seating as well.
They had a cool looking bus they had converted into a ice cream place:
If you are staying on the island and go there at night, they had an awesome live DJ while we were there and dancing and they light the fire too!
The menu:
The food was good and the drinks even better!
Drink menu:

The tribal firepit:
Don't forget to take a picture by the heart!

If you are interested in some decent snorkeling, you can head down to the beach toward the Hilton. There's a lot of rocks (boulders) in the area and there's tons to see. Go down the side by the hotel and also around the rocks that jetty out and resemble a whale tail.
We entered at the little cove and worked our way around. We spotted a dead lobster.
Along the walls were rocks with plenty of little fish.

French Angelfish:

Then we spotted a Spotted Eagle Ray. It was really close to the shore. You don't see these very often and we have only seen them out in the ocean when diving and not up close. It was a treat to spot this beauty.

More of the area:
Squirrel Fish:

Blue Surgeon:

Yellow Tang Surgeon Fish:

We spotted some rather large Feather Duster (which are really worms):

When you get close to them they immediately pull themselves in as a defense. But, getting close to this one something else was noticed as well:

There was an Arrow Crab next to it:

Another French Angelfish:

Still heading around the corner along the rocks and under one of them was a Queen Angelfish. They are so pretty!

Practicing ring bubbles, something she learned in dive class back when she was 8 years old.

Corkscrew Anemone:

Another Arrow Crab:

Now this was a pretty large Lobster. It's probably one of the biggest one's we've seen before. They are so curious and if you can get close enough to them, they will reach out with their antenna's and try to touch you.

Sea Grapes:

Yellow Snapper:

Lizard Fish hanging out below the rocks. It almost looked like a snake head:
A small Barracuda was over in the shallow entrance:

On our way in we seen a row of Caribbean Squid. Now normally if you come anywhere near them they "flutter" off. But we had one that was quite curious and swam right up to me. We see these a lot and this has never happened. They are so odd looking but yet cute.

That's the end of our snorkeling tour. It was super easy snorkeling with a lot to see the day we went. If you get a chance, check it out.
