NCL JADE DAY 4 BELIZE CITY
DAY 4 BELIZE CITY

We were up by 7am and headed to the buffet for some breakfast. I was smart this time and decided to get an omelet because I noticed the eggs were runny once again. I did managed to find crispy bacon, so that was a plus.

Once breakfast was over, we headed down to get our bags and ....no beach towels. UGH. I ended up calling Guest Services and they said they would have them delivered. Sigh...another delay on this beautiful island. Thanks Rasfah you jerk. As we waited for the towels, I double checked that we had everything and we did. So it was a waiting game.
Once our towels arrived (Rasfah brought them and I took great pleasure in answering the door, snatching them and slamming the door in his face. Well, not really...the doors are heavy and slam themselves anyhow when you move, but I would like to think I did it and it made me feel better in my own little warped mind). He did NOT say sorry I missed those, my bad, or anything. Not even a "Here are your towels ma'am" I just opened the door, he held them out, I took them and tried my best to give the stink eye without a smile.
We headed down to go toward the tender line. No tender ticket needed, just flash the platinum card and we were let by. We walked down and got right on immediately.

The locals on the tender gave the speech about their beautiful place and tried to be funny (well, actually they were funny but we have been here enough to hear this several times that I just smile now instead of laughing out loud). He did say that it was a 15 minute tender ride to port.
I took this opportunity to try to get some good pictures of the Jade.

She was so big I couldn't quite fit all of her in it.

RC and Carnival was "docked" with us.

Giving us the life jacket talk
Getting closer to port and we were watching the birds who were watching all the fish get stirred up from the boat I imagine.

I can't believe this next picture even turned out. I was on the total opposite side of the boat, zoomed in a little and with the bumpy waves of the boat, it still managed to focus.
Pulling up to the dock, we see more pirates. Eekk...we tried to hide Sakari but then told her we would have to get our picture taken with them when we got off the ship. She wasn't happy about it and got another worried look in her eye and said "They are waiting on me. I know they are. They are going to take me mommy".

As the sword came up to Sakari, I poked her in the back and said "SMILE!"

We had directions on where to meet our group for the excursion we had picked out. We had to walk down to the end of the pier to the last building, turn right into the building and you would see all the vendors lined up and down the hall.
(I can remember the first time coming here to Belize and they didn't even have these little things about the walkway to shade the hot sand. This is a very good improvement since most of the time this is where you will stand to wait on a return tender and it gets very hot).

To see my complete review of the awesome island we went to, Goffs Caye, you can click the following tab to get there. This is a DO NOT MISS place.
We pulled back up in port and Sakari reminded us that she still wanted her peacock. The hubby took $26 and headed to the shop with Sakari and her sad puppy dog eyes/face and told them that is what we had left over after returning from our excursion. They accepted it. We were happy. They were happy. Sakari was super happy.
I'm honestly not sure if they really do hand make those (you get this story in a lot of ports and will find them online, being made in other countries, for dirt cheap). I did try to look for one of these and couldn't find this exact type. There were other beaded peacocks, but none with the tail with this much detail. Although I didn't spend a lot of time searching. The few that I did find that was anywhere close to this said $51. So, I would like to think we got somewhat of a deal.
We looked around for a little bit, got some drinks and headed to catch the tender at 3:30pm. There were no lines at all. We got on and away we went. Once we pulled up to the ship and was walking up the ramp, one of the tender workers yelled at my husband "Hey, let me have your hat! I want that hat so bad! Please!!!" I'm looking at my husband like "are you serious?" He laughed and told them "come get it", took it off and the worker ran all the way off the boat from the top floor, down to the first, the up the ramp around people. LOL He must have wanted it pretty bad. (It was a bmx hat). I guess he made someone's day in Belize.
Once on the ship, we headed to our room to shower and get clean clothes on. We had a little bit of time before the Asian restaurant would be opening and for some reason, I decided that's what I wanted.
We hung out on the deck and watched the sun go down and the ships pull out.
At 5:30 when the Asian restaurant opened, there was a bit of a line already. They immediately got everyone in one-by-one and pretty quickly.
The menu...
The food came and we ate it all. Sakari and I shared my order and she enjoyed it too. There's one thing that she likes and that's chinese/asian food.
After dinner, Sakari headed up to the kids club. Once again, for some reason she really didn't want to go. This is so weird for her. She usually begs to go there and doesn't want to leave. She agreed to go if she could take her drawing pad and I had to promise to tell the counselors that she wanted to draw while she was in there. We struck this deal and in she went.

We headed to the casino to try our luck for a little bit before the show tonight.
We played our favorites..
I won $20.90 right from the start...which happen to be .90 over doubling my money. Woo hoo.

The weird thing was, I never seen anyone of the following machine...like ever. If I ever got low on money, I could head to this machine and I would at least win enough money to start again by playing this game.
This would be a nice little win (that hit about 3x) and got me back up in order to go back over and play some of my fav's again.

It's another flippin tornado...that tornado brought in $87.40 on this spin.

Pixie gave me a small win tonight, which is good enough for me.

The hubby did super good and won a little over $300 tonight. Although he gets super excited, he's not like me and pulls out the camera for pictures. Whoops. I don't have him trained on that yet.
Tonight was a show with Yuriy and Iryna in Soul Duo, which are an acrobat couple. I love these kind of shows and they did not disappoint. However, either I have seen this show a few times before with them or they have other people that do the exact same show. Either way, they are super amazing and a great show.

After the show, we headed to pick up the munchkin from the kids club and she was happy that she was able to draw tonight and she also played games as well.
We took my memory stick to the Internet Cafe so that I could try to work on my paper. However, I quickly learned that the computers on the ship do not have microsoft word on them. They only have viewer. I almost didn't even bring my small computer. Now, I'm so glad I did.
Since that was a total wash we decided to get some ice cream before heading to the room. Ice cream makes everything better. Well...at least until I got to the room it did.
We opened the door...and we had a monkey waiting for us.

For some reason my mind went straight to the beach towels. Did we have them this time? Nope, we sure didn't. URGRRRRHHHHHGGGG! I immediately called guest services who said they would send someone up with them. I was not about to sit around waiting for a delivery in the morning and postpone our port time again. I waited for over an hour and nothing. I called again and let them know that I had been waiting over a hour AND we needed to get to bed and I didn't appreciate having to wait AND that this is not the first time that our room steward decided not to leave us towels and I was getting highly upset about it. Quite honestly, they really didn't act concerned about it and just said "we'll send someone" again.
I decided I wasn't going to waste time (well, I really wasn't wasting time, I was working on my school paper on my laptop) waiting for someone to show up. I headed for the shower and found that we were also missing a regular towel, the towel they use for the floor mat was not there tonight and we only had 2 wash cloths. Man this just keeps getting better. Then I went to throw something in the trash and this is what it looked like...

LOL. Seriously? Is Rasfah in that big of a hurry or actually doing this on purpose at this point? I really wondered.
So after all this, I started carefully looking around and THIS TIME...I know for a fact that Rasfah DID go into our refrigerator. How do I know this? Because the Mt Dew that was in it cold was now removed and put down with the rest of the stuff we removed from there on day one. I guess he didn't like that I had not replaced that diet Pepsi yet that he decided he would replace it with something else? Last time I checked Mt Dew is not one of the items you will find in the stocked fridge.
Someone came with our pool towels in about 10 minutes after calling the second time and we all headed to bed.
