CARNIVAL BREEZE SHIP TOUR
SHIP TOUR
Since my room was on deck 2, I might as well continue with DECK 2.
There are several "laundry" areas on Carnivals ships. I can not tell you where the others were (I believe I read once maybe they are on the even floors?), but I always passed the one down from us. So, I did manage to stop in and take a peek. There was always someone in there using it, or people sitting out in the hall. It's not exactly how I would want to spend my time on a ship, but to each their own. I imagine the only way that I would EVER use one of these if I was on a back to back. Then that would make sense. The people I did see washing their clothes could have very well been on a back to back...and in that case, I should have kicked them as I walked by...for being so lucky and all.
So I got lucky this night and found that there wasn't anyone in here (although they were being used) and I was able to come in and take some pictures. I had really hoped that clothes owners wouldn't walk in on me and think I was a clothes burglar.
The old "Can you bring an iron" debate...NO you can not, but you will find one in here to use. I honestly can't remember the last time I used an iron for what it is supposed to be used for. I was obsessed with ironing back in my teens...I use to even iron my socks and undies. That habit died off quickly once the kids came along and when I do clothes now, they go straight from the dryer to hung up. No chance to get wrinkles that way. However traveling...ehh, a wrinkle here and there never hurt me, and if it hurt others, well, I'll probably never cross paths with you again in life and I'm sure my few wrinkles will vanish from your mind as soon as you view the hairy chest contest.
However, I DO use an iron...yes a real iron, to straighten my hair. LOL I learned this trick from my oldest daughter back when she was in her teens. About 4 wipes down the hair (even my long hair) and poof...instant straight hair and off I go! No need to mess around for hours with a straightener when there's better things to be done. But, no worries, I did not slip in the laundry room to straighten my hair at any given point during the cruise. I figured I might be hauled away and put in the rubber room for the remainder of the cruise. Instead...I just pulled my hair up, fuzzy mess, no make up, unironed clothes...and I'm good to go. Hey, it's my vacation, don't judge. 😜
DECK 3:
ATRIUM-oh so beautiful!!!
This was set up (I believe in the Atrium) so it qualifies right?
The one thing I REALLY liked about the Breeze was that every night when they set up a place to take pictures, it was out of the way (with the exception of the glass winding staircase, which can't be avoided) they had some type of little "cubby hole" that they were tucked in out of the way from the rest of everyone else passing by. It did not require people to dodge in and out of others getting their pictures taken, it did not require us to stand in a line waiting for the photographer to snap a picture and us hurry on by. They have things set up GREAT as not to disrupt the photographer, the people getting their pictures done and the public walking by. Kudos to you Carnival!!!

RUBY MDR
OVATION THEATER:
One thing about Carnival is their theater seating...it's amazing compared to NCL. If you are in the floor seats, there's so much room and you have tables for your drinks and plenty of foot-room and room for people to go around you. Then they have these nice bench-type seats up above as well.

Then I had the experience of sitting in these upright chairs way up above. Ugh! I didn't realize these existed and I wish I never knew. LOL No slouching involved in these chairs and not even enough room to relax your legs let alone allow someone to walk by you. They were TERRIBLE!! Seriously...I had to sit sideways to have a place to put my feet when on the top row.

DECK 4:
Circle C
Art Gallery Hallway.
I was really shocked at just how long this was and how much they had in there. It just seemed like there was more than what I had ever seen on any other ship in the past.
Of course this was only a snap and walk pic and the only one that I took.

The Fun Hub. These are the computers you can use around the ship. They seem to be everywhere, which I thought was nice.
This was located in the Atrium area by the shopping. They also had an ATM of course. On the opposite side of the elevators (same floor) they also had the machine that you could check your balance and put money on your sail and sign card.

These were located right outside the Thrill Theater

Random location on one of the main decks and I don't remember where even though I must have passed them a good 20 times a day.

They even had some as you walk out to the pool area

The Library Bar, where you can read a book and drink until your hearts content.
Pixels Studio. It's too bad that Carnival has not managed to adapt a program like NCL's newer ships (out since 2010) where it has face recognition and puts all your pictures in the same place (a file) that you can view at any time. Also, when the photographers take your picture, they ask for your room number and it all goes in your file as well. Great system and I wish they all did it. Looking for a picture among 4000+ pictures that could be potentially taken each day is exhausting FFS!

The Warehouse Arcade.
Thrill Theater
DECK 5
BONSAI SUSHI AREA. This place was really pretty and I loved the decor of it.

Sorry this ended up blurry
They had advertisements up in the elevators for this place. It was something cute like "Why not have your dinner in a boat on a boat" then had a picture of the meal served in a boat.
CASINO
Tons of pictures of the slot machines. I found it very strange they didn't have any of the slots that all of the other ships always make sure they carry...like Goldfish, Penguins and so on. It took me half the cruise to even find a few games that I enjoyed.
This game was super cool and was completely 3D, feeling like things were coming out at you. It also had surround sound and you sat in the chair. However, it was around .80 per spin and not many people winning much on it. $20 went super quick.

The ceiling

There was no shortage of the super bright seizure inducing games on this ship. It was loaded with them where usually there's only a select few and everyone is waiting to get on them.
This Panda and Rose game were the hot items of the cruise it seemed like. People were always playing on them because you could win up to 200 free spins if you hit the bonus. I would see people hit as high as 90+ spins during the time I was in there. Hubby hit for 56 once when I was watching him.

They had 2 of them on opposite sides.
This row of games ended up being "my spot". If I was ever losing on another game and the $$ got low, I headed for Fisherman Bob and he put me right back up. It has a progressive that I hit 4x's this cruise. The Gator game on the end was good too. Weird, and I never really figured out what it was doing or the name of the game, but if I seen money adding up, I knew that was good. One night I hit the progressive on Fisherman Bob, cashed out, moved to the Lobster Game, hit the progressive on it the second spin, cashed out and went to the gator game on the end and hit for $46 after spending $10 on it. It was a decent night.
FAHRENHEIT STEAKHOUSE:
LIMELIGHT LOUNGE:
LIQUID NIGHT CLUB
PIANO BAR 88
PLAZA CAFE
FAT JIMMY'S BBQ
Dining area
RED FROG PUB/OCEAN PLAZA:
This place is just amazing. There's games to play here, the atmosphere is great, palm trees, you can be inside or outside and they had a lot of trivia's here as well. We just loved this area.
This game was hilarious!!!
I noticed this on the wall and HAD to get a picture. LOL

SHOPPING

I liked that they had the "Funnel Gear" store with all of your Carnival gift needs.
CHERRY ON TOP=will get you in trouble!!! LOL
Or maybe you'd like to just drink you sugar in powder form

Teeth rotting goodness

How many years do you think it would take to finish off that sucker?
In case you end up in the dog house with your loved one for spending too much money in the candy store...

Shirts to remind you where you lost your first few permanent teeth on a cruise ship...

If your mouth is big enough to fit this jaw breaker in it, I would like to meet you

The Taste Bar (located there at Ocean Plaza)

DECK 10
BEACH POOL AREA
I loved these little cabana's they had by the pool area on each side. Parents could sit there and watch the kids and still be in the shade and have water on their feet.

D.J. booth above the pool area

Another of the cabana area by the pool

This is the area 1 deck up and this side was the smoking side all the way down.

Blue Iguana bar
GUYS BURGERS!!!

All of the different ways to get your burger. I have to say I tried several of them and they were all yummy. Last time, on the Dream, I didn't realize you could actually ask for one of these. I thought they were all just a cheeseburger and you just went over to the topping bar and put what you wanted on it.

I always manage to find Ohio plates here
The Market Place

Now I just have to take a moment and comment on this buffet area. It was AMAZING! Like I seriously LOVED the way they had this decorated and set up! It made you feel like you were at the beach with all the tables and umbrellas to eat under. They had trees everywhere and the decor I just loved. Every single time we walked into this area I commented to my husband how much I loved it. He agreed...it is probably the best buffet I have ever seen.
This area was along the side and it was like sitting under a cabana and so cool. It sat up real high with high chairs and a bench across the back. So cool.

This when you sit at the bench. It faced the walkway for people between this area and the umbrella table area.

I was fascinated by the row of lights...lol
The Pizza Pirate area and tables. You could get tables kinda "inside" but yet outside, or along the outside area on the side.

Red Frog bar
TIDES POOL in the aft

We never did get to swim in this area. It was always super crowded and I believe the water was a little deeper in this area than the regular pool.

Also, someone commented on the first day that the pool was already shut down because some child pooped in the pool and it had to be cleaned.

I do know that we would also see it shut down two other times during the cruise and it being cleaned. Really? Are there that many people allowing their children in the pool (I would guess) with diapers? That's usually the scenario when this happens. Children that are not potty trained are not allowed in the pools...plain and simple. It's a health hazard, but people always break the rules.

One floor up and overlooking the pool in the back were some really comfy chairs to hang out in.

One side was smoking and the other side was not. I have to say that people are very rude and inconsiderate. They would come to the smoking area and lay down and take a nap there. Like seriously? I know the chairs are comfortable but smoking chairs are limited and if you need to take a nap, find another place!

DECK 11
KIDS CLUB-CAMP OCEAN
This looked to be like a check in area, but they never used it. You just went off into the direction that your age group was in to sign in and out. What they did have in this area was a huge bucket that was full of "goodies" and when the children left each night, they would pick out a goodie.
I Sakari's age group, there were plenty of computers to play games on.
Now I will admit that Sakari sometimes plays games on my computer...but not often. However, she is more of a craft person and loves making things and drawing of course. They sure don't seem to do much of that in this age group (even on NCL) and I think this has started to become an issue with her. She would rather just sit around and draw while she's in there instead of playing a game on the computer. They did have other activities for them to do and theme nights of course. But just wanted to put this out there that this age group is just not working out too well for her on the ships.
Cucina del Capitano (Italian Restaurant)

This area is located right above the buffet area and you can see the lights from down below. There's stairs on the side that lead up to it or if you are already on deck 11 there's a regular entrance.
You can eat here for free for lunch on sea days. I hear the food is excellent! Yes, I said I "hear" because we never made it. During the hours they were open, we had either already ate, just ate breakfast, or came up minutes before they were closing. I was so sad.
DECK 12 SPORTS AND WORKOUT AREA.
They had a cool little workout area outside on the back of the ship. Sakari had a lot of fun with it. I have to say, some of the things they had there were "different" and I had never seen any equipment like that before. But still neat. Sakari went up there several times during the cruise to "work off her lunch" with some friends.
This is where I would take my frustrations out on my Jade room steward from the month before. Just saying....
This machine was pretty neat. You sat in the chair and pushed up on the bars and you lifted yourself up...so basically you are using yourself as the weights and lifting your own weight. It would push you and your chair up in the air as you lifted.

This machine also utilized your body as the weight and lifted you up.
This was Sakari's favorite and she would run forever on it.

Getting better at lifting her own weight
Basketball court (it was right beside the gym)
Does anyone else see the ball stuck up at the top of the net or am I seeing things?
There were several areas to play chess in.
The equipment wasn't in very good shape.
In the middle below the ropes course was a very cool area that you could play corn hole, ping pong, pool and get drinks and such. It was very colorful and I loved this cute little area. I don't have many pictures here, but you will see more on it later with pics. They are mixed in somewhere with my "daily" pictures of what we did.

They also had a hot dog stand up here which was cool but only open during certain hours.

Water Park.
I didn't get a lot of pictures of the waterpark outside of the time frame we were actually there. So you will see most of those during the review when we were there. It was SO COOL!
Loved the cute little colorful chairs they had around the ship. Believe it or not, they are quite comfortable.

DECK 13
SERENITY
I'm sorry folks, we never spend any time in here and was only back here once for a little bit during the evening and that's when I got pictures. So, only night time pictures and they're not very good. But you get the idea.
Cloud 9 Spa.
We are not spa people. I will probably never utilize this area on any ship, but I usually try to get pictures. I didn't even find it until the middle of the cruise, so no pictures from inside and only the outside.

When you are outside in the Serenity area, there's a glass dome and when you look down into it, there's a pool to the spa area.

This staircase went down to the spa/pool area I believe

I guess if they think you like to hang out in the serenity area, they will entice you to come to the spa by giving you previous of the areas inside from the outside. LOL
A BAG A MIXTURE COMING UP...
Here's just some "random" pictures I took. No rhyme or reason, just because I guess I wanted to share.
A hallway

With nice little areas that you would see people sitting around reading a book or relaxing with friends over a glass of wine.

I found this sign hilarious, while probably directed toward me, and had to snap a picture of it.

Always gotta have one of these pictures

Elevator area
For those that are interested in getting the internet service, I have to say that this service (the way it worked) ROCKED!!! It was awesome compared to NCL's service if you have more than 1 device you were using on (like we do). We would switch from both our cell phone devices and the computer and have so many issues on NCL getting it to log off another device. With this service, YOU (the person trying to get on) could log off the other device with the push of a button. You didn't have to have that other device to log off and then go to your device to log on. AMAZING!!! (Then if you really wanted to mess with someone, like I do with my hubby, he could be on and I'd sneak on and log him off and get on...leaving him wondering why the internet got so slow all of a sudden...hehe, because I can).

The public bathrooms were pretty weird if I say so myself. They all had some type of jungle or sea theme. It reminded me of some houses I knew back in the day that people ordered the mural scenes that covered an entire wall in their house.
The ship coin...find it if you can!!!

I found that I DID NOT like the little ship map/directions they had on this ship. You could find one of these at every elevator. But once you found what you were looking for, you had to run your finger down it to find the floor. With my old 50 year old eyes, it was not easy. Momma said I never could draw a straight line, even with my fingers. It would take me a few tries each time.
Sometimes pictures are meant to test your intelligence. You know you get those little things from your friends that say iii ʎႨɹ!ƃnsʇ!ɯ sɐ ƃu!zɐɯɐ sɐ әɹɐ noʎ 'uʍop әp!sdn ʇxәʇ s!Ⴁʇ pɐәɹ uɐɔ noʎ ɟ!
or the text that has numbers and letters in it
The phaonmneal pweor of the hmuan mnid. Azanmig huh? yaeh and I awlyas tghuhot slpeling was ipmorantt!
Well, this picture is for you guys...

Thirsty? You have your choices between lemonade, lemonade, lemonade...and tea. Just great. It's a good thing that I really like their lemonade but I can't drink too much of it or I get a sore throat. They could use a little improvement in this department with their choices (like NCL has a variety of different flavors).

One neat thing I found was the hot chocolate machine.

Don't forget to use a paper towel and protect yourself, and me from your nasty germs, when exiting the public restroom.

The entertainment schedule for the week:

You best believe I took advantage of this.

Then they gave us this with our first purchase. Later they would give you gifts for the milestones you would reach by purchasing photos. This included a free Shutterfly scrapbook (which I always do anyhow) and also a USB memory stick (which was a whale tale this time and last time I received one that looked like a ship).

Good to know stuff

Want free stuff AND earn points? Apply for a Carnival credit card.

If you need your laundry done, they can do it for you.

Want your very own Comfy stuff? More info on the Thrill Theater. Book a cruise on a cruise and get free OBC This was our special for the week:
This would be the first time I have ever received anything like the following. It was in the mouth of one of our towel animals.

I'm not sure if this is something Carnival came up with to get the passengers to spend $$ or they only give this out to random people. Once again, I don't do the spa, so it had no value to me.

Now notice the following...these were given with our "free water" you receive for being a "repeat" cruiser with Carnival. Notice how many are there and the names? Someone is missing....more on that later.

Ok, I think that's all of my "random" stuff I wanted to share.
