CASIBARI ROCK FORMATION 2018
Casibari Rocks 2018
These rock formations are clusters of huge tonalite rocks that sit together in an area just north of Hooiberg. This rock formation, unique to the more typical features of the area, inexplicably rises up from the desert soil to create an unusual setting. Some of the rocks weigh several tons and feature peculiar forms. The Government of Aruba has created walking trails and steps through the rocks, allowing hikers to reach the top to obtain breathtaking views of the island. Evidence of prehistoric rock drawings is still visible at the formation
Last time we were in Aruba, we visited the Ayo Rock Formations and we decided to see what this one was like this time around.
All in all, it made for a nice side stop on our way home that day. It doesn't take long to see all of it, so maybe 1 hour or less is the time you'll spend here.
There are several different paths leading around the bottom area here, but they all pretty much lead you to the same place. There are several rocks to climb and some with steps that just lead up on a big rock.
There's a nice picture opportunity at the top of the biggest area and you cane see all over.
