2026 PRIMA DAY 6 CONTINUED

DAY 6 COZUMEL CONTINUED

We had an awesome dive and seen so many great things and it was definitely a different experience than that last time. There was a current but you only noticed it randomly and it was very light. "Karl" did good and was so excited that he was actually doing it on his own at times...although doggy paddling is not how it's done "Karl". 😅

Of course the only aggravating thing was the photographer. Like seriously. Any time there was something interesting or the dive instructor found something the minion was rushing over to get a picture and getting in the way. So annoying. We take our own pictures, I don't think we do a shabby job at it, we have no intention of purchasing anything that we can do ourselves. You may have fancy equipment but mine does the job...at least I think so. Some kind of complete disaster would have to occur and I didn't get any pictures in order for me to purchase them. (Of course I've had plenty of disasters in the past with dead batteries, open battery doors and ruined a camera or GoPro...but I learn from all my mistakes...that's why we carry 2 of everything now).

I will say that they never once said anything about us having to purchase any pictures before or after the dive (although I assumed, but have went diving in St Thomas and they've taken pictures for free and I believe maybe another place. It was just part of the diving). We were told that he would be sending us an email with a link to the pictures. Of course once we returned it was as expected...you had to pay for them. And let me tell you what...I'm left wondering just how many people actually purchase these from him. The prices were outrageous.

1 image/video $25, 5-9 images $99, 10-15 images only $149, 16-20 images $179. A video was $125. That's literally insane. I'm in the wrong business. I'm hanging up my stethoscope and moving to the crystal blue waters to take pictures. I could do it right? I'll just keep adding to my equipment as I go along. No worries.

So the next thing...once we looked at the pictures, they were all of "Karl". Um, ok. He didn't even take pictures of us. 🤷‍♀️

Alright done with my rant. Once we paid our balance Roberta called our 256 van back to come pick us up and head back to the port.

We made it back to the port at 3pm and we looked in a few shops but really wasn't interested in purchasing anything and it was more about taking some pictures. You know me...

The clouds were rolling in and we decided to just head back to the ship before we ended up caught in the rain again. We had accomplished what we came here for and it was nice and sunny during our dive. I'm so glad the rain gods held off for us.

They had birds at the port and of course Sakari jumped up and down with joy. Now she misses her Gizmo back home but I'm sure the early morning silence in her stateroom has been pleasant this last week.

A statue of a girl on her phone...except someone actually stole the phone. :(

The port had some "props" to take pictures with so we had to at least stop for that.

All the bikes lined up to take you back to the ship but we wouldn't be able to get one this time around and the hubby would not be able to make his ee-oo-ee-oo squeaky horn sound.

Now this is my kind of prop!

A few pictures of that booty as we return:

We headed to get showers and wash off all the saltwater and rinse our equipment a little better. Saltwater reeks havoc on the cameras and especially our mask. Sakari's is getting so old the clear rubber is starting to yellow. She really needs a new one soon but hers are prescription so not as easy just going and getting one.

We were in an advanced state of starvation since we hadn't ate since breakfast and decided to head to Indulge since we love it so much there.

This chicken was AMAZING! It reminded me of a place we have here called City Barbeque. The hubby said his pork spare rib meal was good too.

Don't forget to get the fancy deviled eggs:

There was no way I was passing up another round of gnocchi. It is just so amazing.

The kids disappeared over to Coco's. I let them know that it costs extra but they didn't care. They needed to satisfy a craving they had after seeing the display. I have to say it was pretty fancy and creative. We are all striving for diabetes this cruise. I think it just might happen.

There were plenty of options for us to attempt to catch up with the kids. Does it count if I had at least 1 sugar free option? Asking for a friend. I cannot confirm or deny how many I had however. Mums the word.

Ok, roll me outta here I'm so stuffed! 🤢

We headed back to the room in a food coma and it was time for a small nap. I set my alarm for 10pm because we are party animals on this cruise and we had to make an appearance at the Glow Party tonight!

The kids called to wake us up right before the alarm went off. I guess Sakari couldn't sleep because she was busy watching The Little Mermaid movie...now I knew I would have to watch it too at some point. She literally sat there singing all the songs and knows the words. It must have been on repeat as she was growing up. Maybe, just maybe, it will bring back the little mermaid in her and she will some day put that mermaid tail back on?

Sakari dressed in her "glow" outfit. There's one thing we've learned, white shows up best at the glow party.

We decided to drink our bottle of VIP liquid happiness (wine) tonight and then headed out for the 10:45pm party.

The party was popping for sure. Everyone had glow sticks, everyone dancing, and we couldn't wait to join in on the fun. You best believe I was on the look out for our drunk guy that tried to flip "Karl" in his wheelchair. I was going to make sure the rescue was going to happen a lot sooner even if I had to run people over to get out of there. (j/k of course).

This had to be one of their bigger parties because I think the entire ship was there tonight. You could barely move.

It was great when people started leaving early and we could move around. Sakari was having a blast as usual.

Once the party was over we went on a hunt for food. My belly was telling me that any previous meal was just a distant memory now and would no longer be counted as calories consumed. We were hungry again...well, somewhat. We really just wanted a snack. We would find that the only thing available was to eat at The Local. Where's the 24/7 pizza place on this ship like others? Did they do away with them altogether? I think I only seen pizza twice on this cruise and it wasn't normal pizza. It was more like bread pizza.

Since we were unsuccessful we just decided to head back to the room for more much needed sleep.

Here are our white boards for the day:

We would have a time change tonight and we would lose an hour. Blah 💤
