The is a 24 hour Market for snacks and small items you may have forgotten.
The property offers a pool area and hot tub. The area is pretty large with tons of seating both under an umbrella at a table or just on a lounger. They also offer pool towels for use and have a towel hut.
The pool has a very large "step" along the side of it which makes it nice for sitting at while in the water or for the little ones to play in a shallow area. It also has a waterfall at that end and the water goes off into the pool.

One thing about this area, it has a lot of potential to be extremely nice. The decor, the layout and how big the area is. However, they didn't seem to be taking very good care of it.
As you can see, the hot tub was very dirty AND it was cold. So much for spending time in the hot tub.
We also noticed that the chair loungers were in need of repair, were dirty and rusty. Other than those few things, this could become a nice area.
The rooms are spacious and designed just like all of the other Springhill Suites we have stayed at. There is a "bedroom" are and a small wall to divide the living room area. There is also an area off to the side for a tiny office, sink/bar, and refrigerator and microwave.
The decor was updated, clean and served the purpose.

Like all Springhill Suites, they offer a free HOT breakfast for their guest. This is always a nice added feature and gets you off to a great start prior to check out.

A positive thing about this hotel location is that there's plenty of restaurants in the area and even next door that you can get to by foot if you are not driving.
There's also a drug store next door and you're able to pick up things that you need prior to your cruise (like soda and items). Everything is located close including a K-Mart.
Another added touch to this hotel is that upon check-in they gave us a "goodie" bag. It will filled with snacks (cookies and chips) and even some popcorn to use in our microwave for the night plus a bottle of water.
Final thoughts:
Would I recommend this place? Yes, I would. It's a great location to everything you could possibly need all within walking distance. The place was being updated when we were there and it was starting to look really nice, just like the other Springhill Suites we have stayed in before. The decor was nice and updated.
Having a free HOT breakfast prior to check out gets the day started right and saves money. Always an added plus.
Although they need to work on keeping the pool and hot tub area a little cleaner with updated furniture, this is something that is easily fixed. It could be that they were just too busy working on the renovations on the interior that day. I'm really not sure. If I came back to the area, I would definitely book again.
