Final thoughts:
Would I recommend this place? Yes, I would.
This place is the closest hotel to the cruise port. You can see the ships coming in and out. They are within walking distance to many of the attractions in Old San Juan.
The room we received was very spacious and had a bedroom. The living room was huge and had a very small terrace, but it was nice to be able to open the windows and stand out there (only 2-3 people can stand on it). There's a great view of the main streets and the port.
There is a restaurant on site and you can even eat outside on the terrace (2nd floor) and watch the people and traffic go by. We watch a ship pull out of port one night and it was beautiful.
We did have a few issues during check in. They do allow you to check your luggage and roam around the city while they are getting your room ready. They take your phone number to call you when it is done. However, they never called and it was 102 degrees out that day, which made it hard to roam around and feel comfortable. We checked in with them several times and they still said it was not ready. When it finally was, they still did not call. Hopefully the staff will get better with this customer service issue.
