MALLORCA: OLD SAN JUAN

 

 

Mallorcas are a sweet bread bun-type that is used in sandwiches. It's usually showered in confectioners' sugar and buttered. Mallorcas are named for the Spanish island where they originated from (also called ensaimadas).

Mallorca is located at 300 San Francisco Street right in the heart of Old San Juan. This place has a variety of baked treats and breakfast and lunch meals.

Inside there is a long countertop bar and cafeteria-style tables like a small local diner.

We have ate here several times and love coming back for breakfast when we are in Old San Juan.
