LINDA'S DUTCH PANCAKES
We stayed, for one night, at a place down the street from here and the hubby had mentioned that he seen a pancake house that we should go to. Well, I do love pancakes, but I made pancakes at the house we were staying at one morning and thought "why have them again?". However, one morning we decided not to make breakfast at the house and I decided to look this place up. I was surprised to see that it wasn't your "normal" pancakes and knew I had to check it out.
We drove into town (which is a new location for them) and the place was packed (inside and out). We checked in with the waitress and waited and waited and waited. It was actually quite rediculous the amount of time it took them to seat us. I'm sure it was well over an hour and there were only 3 people ahead of us.
When we finally were able to go in and get a seat, I noticed the 3 others that were ahead of us were still sitting there and hadn't even recieved their food yet. Oh boy!
Here is the menu:
I had watched a video online about this place and they had made the comment that just 1 tablespoon of the syrup here was around 200 calories!!! I verified this with the bottle.
We ordered and waited and waited and waited. Here is the inside of the place.
Our food finally came and it was SO GOOD!
Sakari just wanted an omelette with bacon and cheese and I tried it and it was AMAZING!
The hubby got the pancake with bacon and cheese on it and he said it was good.
I opted for the banana and cream pancake with banana liquor on the side. I wasn't quite sure if I was supposed to pour it on the pancake or just drink it...so I did both. LOL
When the bill came, Sakari got a Ring Pop as a treat.
I would highly recommend this place...except for the slow service and wait time. It is a very busy place but I can tell you by the time we left, the place had almost cleared out. So maybe we went at the wrong time. But, I would definitely try it again.
